SOLID – An Introduction

The SOLID principles are a set of object oriented design principles put together by Uncle “Bob” Martin which help in building more stable and flexible software systems. The SOLID acronym stands for;

  • S – Single Responsibility Principle
  • O – Open Closed Principle
  • L – Liskov Substitution Principle
  • I – Interface Segregation Principle
  • D – Dependency Inversion Principle
